Ms. Nanying CUI, Program Manager of the Energy and Climate Change Program, has worked at GEI since 2013. She develops outreach strategies for the program, and manages and coordinates the training sessions on the Low-Carbon Development Toolkit for local governments in China. Nanying has extensive experience and a well-established network in China’s the local, provincial, and state government. In addition to her China expertise, Nanying has international knowledge, having worked on US-China climate relations for the past several years, attending major international summits, and coordinating with GEI’s several major climate change stakeholders like Center for Climate Strategies, Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Oak Foundation.
Previous to developing China’s climate change policy, Nanying managed the supply chain for a GEI Biodiversity Conservation pilot program to develop Yunnan organic agriculture, as well as supported renewable energy projects in Sri Lanka.
Nanying received a M.S. in financial economics from Boston University and B.S. in management from Johnson & Wales University. Gifted with a green thumb, she decorates GEI with lush and air-purifying flora. She also enjoys learning Photoshop, reading, and spoiling her cat, Miao.
